Planned activities |
Main goal of the project is to develop and demonstrate the economic, environmental and technical feasibility of Integrated Biomass Logistic Centre (IBLC) for food e no-food products. The project is based on three agro-industries in the fodder (Spain), olive oil production (Greece) and cereal processing (Sweden) sectors that are willing to deploy new business lines in their facilities to open new markets in bio-commodities (energy, transport and manufacturing purposes) and intermediate bio-products (transport and biochemicals). Three IBLC will be realized in Spain, Greece and Sweden starting from existing agro-industries to originate a new non-food chain which will operate alongside with the food industry. CREA-ING is committed to: i) the organization of biomass harvesting test for the IBLC’s by means of the machines currently available for the agro-industrial products chosen within the project; ii) thye coordination of demonstration days for the partners involved in the development of the IBLC. CREA-ING is included in WP3 and WP4, while has a leading role in WP5 (Demonstration of an IBLC from straw inside the grain-milling and feed industry), Task 5.4 (Operational testing of the logistic center), Subtask 5.4.1 (Harvesting) |
